Our Story

About Us

A family who said "yes" to God — and packed up for Colombia.

Meet the Goodalls

We are the Goodall Family

We're Ryan & Claudia, along with our two boys, Levi and Neal — missionaries serving in Santa Marta, Colombia. We've been living here for about six months now, and we are just barely getting settled in.

This blog page is for those who may be interested in learning more about us. The plan is to upload videos with the kids from time to time — with some funny antics or little "bits of knowledge" — and to post our monthly prayer letters so you can always see what is going on. Every now and then, I may share a few personal thoughts or devotionals in blog form too.

The hope is that you get to know us better, and that we can be more transparent about what's really going on — through video, pictures, and honest writing. Of course, we'd love any feedback you may want to give us!

We are not trying to become missionary influencers. We simply want to give you a little inside view of what it's like to be a missionary family in another country. We hope you all enjoy!

What our days look like

A little of everything — ministry, family, and a lot of walking in the Colombian heat.

Kids' Club & Teaching

From Adam and Eve to Noah and the Ark, we love teaching children the Bible — and watching the Lord save precious souls.

Church Planting

We're working to open the doors of Iglesia Bautista La Barca, handing out invitations all over the neighborhood and holding services in our home.

Loving Our Neighbors

Walking the market blocks, meeting families, and building friendships — like our friend Bro. Juan Duarte and others serving here in Colombia.

Sent, not chosen by chance

Here am I; send me

From the mountains to the sea, this is the corner of the world God called us to — and we couldn't be more grateful to serve here as a family.

"Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me."

Isaiah 6:8
